Hey everyone!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer! Here’s what’s we’re looking at for next month:
Shannon has to take a year of absence from leading regular meetings because of an internship. In her place Ben Maddison and I will be leading the group for the next year. Regular meetings will start September 12th at 6:30pm in the teen room.
We need to start fund-raising ASAP this year, so we will be holding a yard sale on the church lawn on Saturday, September 11, from 9am-1pm. I will need kids to help sell refreshments and set up tables. More on this in a short while!!!
We’re also looking at having a “Noisy Sunday” on Sunday, September 12th (which is homecoming Sunday). This is a very easy fundraiser, and the money raised from it will be split evenly among the group.
Finally, in case you haven’t heard, we’ve decided on our mission trip for Summer 2011. We will be going to the YouthWorks (youthworks.com) camp in Calais, Maine the week of 7/3/11!
Can’t wait to get started in September!
