Meeting tonight! 6:30-8:30 in the teen room. We’ll be watching “Millions.” Bring a friend, brig pop corn, bring the funk!

We will be meeting tonight at 6:30 in the teen room!

We’ll be discussing our upcoming fundraisers, some fun youth events coming up in the diocese, and LOVE!

Hey all,

Tonight we are going on a hay ride at Indian Acres Tree Farm in Marlton!  (www.indianacrestreefarm.com) We will be meeting downstairs in the parish hall at 6:30.  Teens, please remember to bring $25 for your ticket!!!!  We should be home by 8:30, but please be aware that we may be a few minutes later than that.

Starting soon we will be doing sign-ups for cookie boxes as a Christmas fundraiser after the 8:00 and 9:30 services.  Ben and I will do the sign-ups after the 8:00 services, and we will be assigning two of the youth to man the table after each 9:30 service.

Starting 12/5 we will be doing a Grace Church Christmas card exchange.  How this will work is we will have a large box that the congregation will be invited to drop their cards for other church members into.  We will sort the cards during the service and parishioners can stop by the table an pick up their mail during coffee hour.  We will ask for donations of the cost for mailing the cards traditionally.  Teens will be asked to volunteer to help sort the cards during the 9:30 service.

           -We will not not talk! (it’s just not our nature)

*Unless he or she has a signed note from his or her parent, no youth will be allowed to leave without a parent/adult picking him/her up this week.  I will be handing out permission slips.  If you (youth) want to walk home from meetings, or if you (parents) would like your child to walk home from meetings I will need that permission slip returned and signed.

*The doors in back of the parish hall will be locked tonight.  Please use the side entrance by Fr. Pat’s driveway.

We will be meeting again next Sunday, 9/19, at 6:30 in the teen room.  Now that we have the covenant established and we’ve gone over the structure of the meetings you can expect less business, a little bit more faith, and a lot more game time =).

-Youth who wish to help with the yard sale fundraiser should arrive at the church at 8:30am on 9/11/10 to help set up the front lawn.  If anyone can’t make it at that time, but can make it later they are welcome to help out until about 1:30pm.

-Please make sure you see me when you arrive and before you leave if you are working towards next summer’s mission trip!

-Homecoming Sunday, 9/12/10 we will be selling pretzels after the 9:30 service.

-That night, 9/12/10, we will have our first meeting in the teen room (3rd floor of the parish hall) from 6:30-8:30.  It’s going to be a fun and informative night.  Expect some papers from Ben and I.

1st thing’s 1st: Business.

We have our yard sale coming up on Saturday, September 11th.  The sale will be starting at 9am, so I will need the youth there by 8:30am to help set up.  I will also need one or two of you to stay at a table in the parish hall during coffee hour this Sunday and next Sunday.  This is our first mission trip fundraiser!

2nd thing’s 2nd: Fun. (please read this in your best monster truck announcer voice)

OUR FIRST MEETING IS SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12th (homecoming Sunday) AT 6:30PM IN THE TEEN ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer! Here’s what’s we’re looking at for next month:

Shannon has to take a year of absence from leading regular meetings because of an internship.  In her place Ben Maddison and I will be leading the group for the next year.  Regular meetings will start September 12th at 6:30pm in the teen room.

We need to start fund-raising ASAP this year, so we will be holding a yard sale on the church lawn on Saturday, September 11, from 9am-1pm.  I will need kids to help sell refreshments and set up tables.  More on this in a short while!!!

We’re also looking at having a “Noisy Sunday” on Sunday, September 12th (which is homecoming Sunday).  This is a very easy fundraiser, and the money raised from it will be split evenly among the group.

Finally, in case you haven’t heard, we’ve decided on our mission trip for Summer 2011.  We will be going to the YouthWorks (youthworks.com) camp in Calais, Maine the week of 7/3/11!

Can’t wait to get started in September!
